Position Description The Respiratory Therapist II provides respiratory care for patients in adult and/or neonatal care. Employees may perform ECG, EEG, pulmonary function testing, & bronchoscopy and any other testing as deemed within the scope of practice by national standards. Position Requirements Required 1. Graduation from an accredited respiratory care program with an Associates degree or equivalent and RRT credentialed by the National Board for Respiratory Care. 2. CRT or CRTT that have graduated from an accredited respiratory care program, greater than 5 years experience at a Hospital and that are not on a Performance Improvement Plan will be allowed to continue employment. 3. Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and/or Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) by the American Heart Association. **NRP is only required when rotating to the NICU or attending deliveries. 4. Maintains proficiency in arterial blood sampling techniques as prescribed by the hospital and/or JCAHO. Licensure/Certification Requirements Yes Work Hours 7a-7p Weekend Requirements No
