Responsibilities
- Performs respiratory therapy procedures and demonstrates technical skills required for area of practice, seeking guidance as needed.
- Utilizes assessment to initiate an individualized patient plan of care incorporating resources such as the expert level RCP and the interdisciplinary team
- Addresses patient/family needs in plan, which are identified on admission and coordinated through discharge
- Prioritizes patient therapy according to patient acuity on a daily basis
- Is capable of administering all modes of routine therapy for geriatric, adult, adolescent, pediatric and infant patients
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Therapy preferred
- On year respiratory therapy experience prefered. New graduates considererd
- Licensed as a Respiratory Therapist by the Virginia Department of Health Professions required
