Interventional Radiology Technologist
Location: Rochester, MI
FT Days: 7:00 am - 3:00 p, Monday - Friday, 40 hours weekly
What You Will Do
Assist with procedures and provides diagnostic aid by conducting organ or body scans on patients.
Prepare and position patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
Observe patient during procedure and reports abnormal activity. Monitor protocols and recommends updates or refinements as warranted.
Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
Able to perform all specialized imaging procedures such as angio, complex vascular and nonvascular interventional and therapeutic procedures, along with assisting the Radiologist/PA.
Ensure all activities comply with regulatory agency standards.
What You Will Need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
Possess and maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification at time of hire/transfer date required.
Possess and maintain Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification at time of hire/transfer date required.
Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology and current registry at time of hire/transfer date required.
Education
High School Graduate required.
Work Experience
A minimum of one (1) year post-graduate experience in Special Procedures and a demonstrated excellence in anatomical positioning and attention to detail required.
Current Interventional Cardiovascular Cath Lab experience, including scrubbing in cases required.
