Pharmacy Nurse

Main Function:

In conjunction with the pharmacist or pharmacy group contract services:

o Stock Pyxis (medication administration equipment) in all locations, coordinate with all NCH departments medication outdates and needs, order needed medications for all departments, prepare outpatient packets, package medication under pharmacy supervision, perform inventory as required, narcotic inventory monthly

o Perform charge capture of medication, build new medications, formulary management, collect data, update Medispan monthly, and other pharmacy system maintenance responsibilities through Healthland operations

o If NCH offers OB/GYN services, maintains, monitors, documents, and uploads KDHE immunization medication information to proper entities

o Macrohelix duties – update crosswalk 

Qualifications:

· Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and licensed in Kansas

· BLS upon hire, ACLS, PALs, NRP, and TNCC certification within 6 months of hire and maintained while in this position (TNCC may take 1 year to obtain)

· Ability to demonstrate age specific competencies
