Outpatient Clinic Nurse

Main Function:

To schedule, assess, evaluate, implement cares, collect data, monitor and document on outpatient clientele.  Tasks include but are not limited to: administering IV fluid and medications, performing wound care, dressing changes, PICC and PORT access, and superpubic catheter changes.  For chemotherapy administration, must hold and maintain current chemotherapy certification. Directs the care delivered by others in the specialty clinic. Assist with physicians with procedures as necessary. Prioritize care for all types of outpatients.

 Qualifications:

· Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and licensed in Kansas

· BLS upon hire, ACLS, PALs, NRP, and TNCC certification within 6 months of hire and maintained while in this position (TNCC may take 1 year to obtain)

· Ability to demonstrate age specific competencies
